軸封上的摩擦損失，水力損失主要是液體在泵內運動速度和方向的變化引起的沖擊損失。中開泵效率是指泵的有效功率和軸功率的比值旋渦損失等，液體與泵內各流道壁面的磨擦損失以及液體運動的內部磨擦損失，容積損失主要是泵內高壓液體向低壓區泄露回流造成的損失，包括密封環泄漏損失，平衡機構泄漏損失和級間泄漏損失。通過不同可以使中開泵的效率和汽蝕性能得到很好的提升當然在進行效率和汽蝕性能改造的同時，不可忽略對中開泵可靠性方面的要求，總之通過我們的努力要獲得一款效率高汽蝕性能好，運行可靠穩定的好泵。中開泵的首要零件有：泵體，泵蓋，葉輪，雙吸密封環，軸套，軸承等。除軸的資料為優質碳素鋼外，其馀多為鑄鐵制成。泵體與泵蓋構成葉輪的作業室。
根據水泵行業規定，Sh型與S型兩大系列中開泵并存，直至統一設計出新型泵代替這兩個系列時為止。本產品主要用于工廠、礦山、城市、電站給水農用排澇灌溉、各種水利工程用泵和采暖空調系統等場合
